AICE Media Studies

 This is my CCR for my Final Task 

 This is our final product! Like I said before, this project has been great. I have grown in my abilities and in my character. I learned how to better edit. I also learned how to find royalty free music! I worked on my abilities as a camerawoman. I also got to further my experience in acting. Our final task has been a one of a kind type of experience. I am so happy with how it turned out, and also with how much it taught me. 

 We have finished our film! I am so excited about this project. We worked so hard and did so much. I feel very accomplished. I love how my group worked together. I find all the things that I learned very interesting. They are also helpful! Later, I am sure I will need to use them. Weather that be for school, work, or just recreation. I think this project really helped me realize the importance of a detailed schedule. We had one for this, thank goodness. Without one, I don’t think my group would have gotten so much stuff done. We worked really well together. Everybody seemed to gel. This was a bit different than the last project. We had a bit of drama before. None this time! We split work evenly. Everybody did their part. It was overall a great project and I am so happy with the end product! 

 Today, we spent time making changes to our film. These changes we made were based off of our film review. As I previously said, our reviewer had some good things to point out. She mentioned how some inside scenes were filmed in dark lighting. We at first thought this was a good thing, as it fits the genre. It makes it spooky and thrilling. However, then we watched it a few times over. We realized that it really just made it hard to see. So, we re filmed all of the inside scenes. We filmed the ones of our two actors at Dara's house. This took a little while because we all kept laughing. In the end, though, we got some good clips. We then re filmed the original opening scene with our main character cleaning blood off of surfaces. We had no more dish soap to use, so instead we used ketchup. This caused quite a ruckus because none of us like the smell of ketchup. It was funny, and we got it all done. Now we have scenes that you can see very well.  Now I can sleep knowing our project i

 Today we edited on the title sequence. It was hard work! We mostly had the entire film done. This was just the one thing left to do. That is, besides fixing things up. We had to fit the title sequence into a shorter amount of time than we first realized. We experimented with different fonts. We also tried different timings. Also, we did a few editing changes throughout. For example, we would get creative with how we would have the titles appear. Some appeared out of nowhere. Others we tried to have fly in. We even had some spin! But in the end we kept things simple.  It was fun to have creative funky titles. However, it does not exactly fit the genre. Therefore we decided not to use them. We finished and watched the whole thing a few times. It was great! 

 Our group is basically done with filming. So, we decided it was time we get some reviews from people we know. I figured it would not be smart to get reviews on our film from people that I am friends with. Nor would it be smart to get ones from family. This is because we want an objective review. Friends and family may have some bias. They may be more inclined to just say it was good rather than giving good constructive criticism. So, as a group we decided that we could ask our soccer coach. Our soccer coach, Coach Jaime, is great for this. She is not attached to the project in any way, and therefor would not have any ties or inclination to be bias. She also has a tendency to be blunt with her criticism. After watching, she was impressed with our film! However, she did suggest that we should fix the lighting in certain areas. It was a little dark in some of the indoor scenes, so we may have to edit or refilm them. She complimented our film by saying it had very good acting, and that th
