Pitching Ideas

Image
Our group came up with a few pitches for our project: Pitch 1: A little girl's imagination gets out of hand one afternoon. Pitch 2: A girl is doing homework when suddenly she finds a mysterious note left in her book for her.  Pitch 3: A young mom is driving to pick up her son from school, when out of the blue and friend from her past comes her way.  Pitch one is an ideal one for our group, as it can involve girl characters, and our group has four girls. This leaves us options for us to have someone to film, which is good so we don't have to go out of our way to find another cameraman. This, along with the fact that the wording allows for wiggle room, is a pro to pitch 1. However, we would have to take extra steps to find a little girl to play one of the parts, which adds a bit of a challenge, but I think our group is up for that. Pitch 2 is also a reasonable pitch for our group, because we can have one of us acting and the rest of us tackling other responsibilities. However, w

For this project, I will be working with three of my friends. These friends are Dara, Mila, and Addison. These three people are not just people that I like. They are also good, responsible workers who take school seriously. We each have common interests, but we also have individual specialties. I think we will be a good fit for this project. Dara, whom I worked with last year, is a very good editor and also a good actor! She is willing to step up and take on roles. She is always up for responsibility and doing things to help out, even if she does not initially want to.  Mila is a very good editor and knows the ins and outs of the software and tools needed to make clips better. She will certainly be good when it comes time to cut and adjust clips, sounds, and music. She takes that part of the project which will help piece together our music video. Addison is very invested in film, more so than most of us. She is excellent with angles and movements. She likes to research how to convey m

Hello, my name is Violet Roberts. I am in 11th grade and am 16 years old. I live with my mom, my dad, my two dogs, and my seven cats. My brother just recently moved away to college at UF. I like to play soccer, piano, and I like to do theatre. I would consider myself a decently social person who enjoys the company of others. I love animals, and I also enjoy teaching and think that maybe I will do something in that field in life. I chose to be in this class because I am interested in film and its components, and I enjoyed it last year! I like to act, so seeing how actors, editors, directors, etc. do their job is something that excites me. I like seeing the art in things. Film and media have a lot of hidden elements. Trying to see if I can identify and visualize those things is a challenge I enjoy. I look forward to learning all about film and its process. I always watch movies and wonder how they accomplish certain things. I am enthusiastic about the thought of learning more of all tho
