Music Selection

Today my groupmate Siena and I began looking for music to use in our scenes. We were talking about what type of music we would want. At some points, everything is normal, and at others, there is the thrilling aspect of the film. We decided that she and I would split up the search into two genres. Our genres of music were sinister, eerie music, and regular background music. She researched the first and I the second. For my music, we would use it in the beginning scenes. The two girls are just sitting and having lunch, so I was thinking the music would be relatively normal. I began my research by looking up upbeat music for background music. This actually did not prove helpful. All of the music that came up was odd elevator music that just did not seem right for the scene. As I continued my search, I found that most music I found while searching up things like that were similar. I continued to look for music. I looked on Spotify as well to see if any playlists had what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and did not find suiting ones. I then remembered a Jazz musician that I really like named Bill Evans. I looked through some of his songs for a bit. While I did not find an exact song to choose, I was happy with this genre of music. I will probably select a lowkey jazz song for our background music, because it fits the vibe and is not too distracting.
