Beginning Filming
Today was our first day of filming. We made some progress, but we had many issues to face. We filmed the parts outside and about to go inside. We filmed at Dara's house because she lives by a big bustling city. That is exactly the setting of our scene, so it was convenient. The weather however, was not ideal. It was actually quite windy. This made it a bit harder to hear when Dara and I as actors were talking. Also, it is spring break for many colleges, so there were very many people there. More than we had expected. This constant and loud chatter was not very helpful in getting the camera to pick up our voices either. We ended up actually relocating to a different area that had both less wind and fewer people. This made it easier to hear and understand the dialogue. This also solved another problem we had not seen coming. Our cameraman kept bumping into people while filming. But in our new location, it was easy to film with no disruptions. Yay for backup plans! Once we had filmed and refilmed our scenes, we called it a day and went back inside. We reviewed our clips and kept the ones we liked. Overall, it was a good start to our filming and a pretty productive day!
