Finishing the filming

Today I continued with filming. After practice that my groupmate Dara and I both have, we both went to her house to film the rest of the video. I had my brother Cole, our main actor, come with us. We started by filming the parts in the flashbacks. We did this first to preserve the daylight. We figured we could film the later parts when it was dark out because the majority of it is inside. I filmed a few shots of Dara and Cole walking together, sitting together, even spinning. They were all filmed relatively close to eachother, but in different enough locations that the audience would not be able to tell. I picked the clips where I though they had the most chemistry. One of them includes a part where they are sitting on the steps together, and Cole got dog poop on his shoe. I actually love this clip because it seems the most natural, as Dara is laughing and Cole is flailing and laughing trying to get it off. Then I filmed the part where he goes to visit her at her house. We used the door to her actual apartment for the setting. We had to redo this scene a couple of times because we were all laughing. Eventually we pulled it together and got a good shot. We FaceTimed Nicole and Mila and figured that we would get the shot of Dara seeing Cole’s message with Nicole on FaceTime. We filmed that next. Once we were done with the parts we needed with the two of them, we went back outside to leave. We quickly filmed the shots of Cole getting out of the car, and it was dark out. This actually is helpful because the initial clips of just Cole are at night. Then on the way home I filmed a little of Cole driving, more than we needed just because I wasn’t sure how long the cut between the music would be. We finished all of the scenes, and will now me on our way to editing.
