Filming Blog
Today was our first day of filming. It went very well! We were efficient and got almost all of it done. It was actually very fun too. First we went to the senior patio to film our third, fourth, and fifth scene. We were outside, so it was very hot, but that's ok. We filmed Nicole taking a Post- It Note out of her lunchbox from behind, and then another shot from in front, without letting the audience see what the note says. Then we show her smile and stand up. It then cuts to me on a bench as I play a sad looking boy. In our story board, this character is a boy. However, no one in our group is a boy, and all the other groups were busy. We had to improvise. Mila lent me her jacket so I could tie my hair up and flip it over my forehead to give the illusion of short hair. Then I flipped the hood up to cover the pony tail, and I looked as boyish as I could. We filmed Nicole giving the note to me and me smiling like it brightened my day.
